About

Hi!  I'm Libby, the founder of Kind History.

My passion for collecting started at a young age, spending countless weekends with my mom treasure hunting at local thrift stores, estate sales, and neighborhood yard sales.  I adored jewelry and the stories associated with every piece in my Grammy's jewelry box.  I  imagined the history of each piece I discovered.

This early obsession led me to study Metals and Jewelry at the Savannah College of Art and Design.  While in school I successfully began selling my designs to local businesses.  My career took a significant turn when I was offered a job designing jewelry professionally.  I moved to Rhode Island and spent 16 years designing mass production jewelry for specialty stores.  I loved seeing my designs in the real world and in print and I'm grateful to have worked with some incredible designers I can still call friends.

I always continued designing wholesale with a few shops using repurposed materials and charms. I began offering studio visits with local merchants to create custom designs tailored for their stores, which was a transformative experience.  This transitioned into offering pop-ups with each event exceeding expectations.

As demand continued to grow,  I began offering virtual appointments, providing a one of a kind design experience to people near and far.  It's been incredible seeing how excited people get about charms.  I find immense joy in giving these pieces a new life and history.
